Dr. Grady Gordon (1927-2006 )- Founder of the Waco Club was a true champion. In Las Vegas, Grady won his last national championship in his age bracket (75 and over) in 2005 over legend Marty Reisman with a fifth game deuce comeback to cap a lifetime of victories.
Waco Table Tennis Club
The "Waco Table Tennis Club” has been playing together for over forty-five years and was known for its strong friendships and quality of play. Two of our “champions” stand out:
At age 87, Waco Table Tennis player Ira Walton has won the gold medal in the National Veterans’ Golden Age Games eighteen of the last twenty years. He also has won the Texas Senior Games the seven years.
Location: 1404 Colcord, Waco, TX (next to the World Cup Café)
Open play time:
Monday- Friday 4:00-6:00pm. (except holidays) and
first and third Saturdays of each month 9:00-11:30am.
Cost:
$25/month (adult) or $3/day; Students: $20/month or $2/day.
High School students to play: $15/mon or $1.50/each time
