Waco Table Tennis Club
The "Waco Table Tennis Club” has been playing together for over forty-five years and was known for its strong friendships and quality of play. Two of our “champions” stand out:
Dr. Grady Gordon (1927-2006 )- Founder of the Waco Club was a true champion. In Las Vegas, Grady won his last national championship in his age bracket (75 and over) in 2005 over legend Marty Reisman with a fifth game deuce comeback to cap a lifetime of victories.
At age 89, Waco Table Tennis player Ira Walton has won the gold medal in the National Veterans’ Golden Age Games eighteen of the last twenty years. He also has won the Texas Senior Games the seven years.
